If your dress doesn’t fit just right, you’re in excellent hands. We work with two trusted local seamstresses, each bringing decades of experience and a deep respect for their craft.
Both seamstresses operate independently from Consignment Cat, setting their own pricing, timelines, and policies. For your convenience, we welcome fittings to take place here in our store, where customers can enjoy a safe, friendly atmosphere and the use of our fitting rooms.
As our formal and special occasion business has grown, so has the need for expert alteration support. In 2025, we expanded our referrals to include a second seamstress to accommodate the volume of work generated through the store, ensuring timely service and continued quality for our customers.

Jan Parker – Nimble Thimble
Jan Parker, known locally as Nimble Thimble, has an excellent reputation as a seamstress and has worked with local theaters and costuming for many years.
We began referring alteration work to Jan in 2014 as our formalwear business grew. Her craftsmanship, reliability, and attention to detail have consistently impressed our customers, and her reputation continues to be well earned through years of trusted work.

Joye Anderson – Sewing Joye-fully
Joye Anderson has been sewing for over 50 years, a passion that began with making clothes for her Barbie dolls and grew into a lifelong skill.
She joined our alteration referrals in 2025 to help support the increased volume of formal and special occasion garments coming through the store. Joye specializes in bridal and formal alterations, with extensive experience in gowns, special occasion dresses, and detailed custom work. She also offers alterations from casual to formalwear and is known for her careful attention to fit and finish.
