Returns & Exchanges

In-Store Purchases

All in-store purchases are final sale.

Standard Online Purchases

We want you to love your thoughtfully chosen pieces. 💜

Eligible online purchases may be returned within 30 days of delivery for store credit or refund approval, depending on the condition of the item and reason for return.

Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.

Items eligible for return must:

  • Be unworn and unwashed
  • Have original tags attached
  • Be free of odors, stains, pet hair, smoke, or damage
  • Be returned in the same condition in which they were received

Returns showing signs of wear, deodorant marks, makeup transfer, perfume scents, alterations, washing, event use, or other damage will not be accepted.

Because our inventory is primarily one-of-a-kind consignment merchandise, items that do not meet return standards may be rejected and returned to the customer.

Special Occasion & Formalwear Return Policy

Formalwear, prom, pageant, cocktail, and special occasion dresses are eligible for store credit only.

Special occasion items purchased in-store are final sale. Eligible online formalwear orders may include a security return ribbon that must remain attached for return eligibility.

Due to the delicate and event-specific nature of these items, approved returns may be subject to a restocking and processing fee.

Special occasion items must be returned:

  • With original tags attached
  • In unworn condition
  • Free of makeup, self-tanner, perfume, smoke, deodorant marks, alterations, or signs of event wear

Items returned with visible wear or damage will not qualify for return or store credit.

Because sizing can vary significantly between brands and designers, we strongly encourage customers to request measurements before purchasing special occasion items. We are happy to help provide additional measurements or fit guidance whenever possible.

Promotional Discounts & Free Shipping

Orders that received promotional discounts or free shipping may have those promotions adjusted if a return causes the remaining order total to fall below the qualifying threshold.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or significantly not as described.

If preferred, Consignment Cat can provide a prepaid return shipping label, and the shipping cost will be deducted from the approved refund or store credit.

Return Approval

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email regarding approval status.

Approved returns will be issued as either:

  • Store credit via digital gift certificate, or
  • Refund to the original payment method when applicable
